Although I received my GC last year , my spouse's case was transferred to the local service center (San Francisco) on July 17th, 2004 and has been in a time freeze since then.
We applied for my spouse's EAD last year (around Dec 2004) online and the case went to the Missouri Service Center (case number starts with "MSC"). Even though we had the fingerprints sent in in Jan , we still haven't heard from them about the EAD.
We then applied for the interim EAD at the local service center. They gave us an interim EAD twice (each valid for 3 months).They suggested that since my spouse's I-485 application is pending at the local service center , we should apply for the EAD at the local service center itself.
Has anyone applied for an EAD at the local service center ? What's the process to do so ? This is a regular dependant I-485 case where in the spouse is the primary applicant.
