Dear Group,

I had I-140 approved under EB1 EA from TSC. Recently, I filed in my and my spouse I-485, along with petitions for AP and EAD at NSC on the 15th Sep 2006. Haven’t received receipts from them....

How long will it takes to get approvals for EAD and AP from NSC? I have read in the forms about interim EAD's is it still an option if we do not receive EAD on time?

If my wife uses her EAD and AP, does she need to apply for anything for changing her status from H4 to EAD like AC21....? Or she can simply take up the job?

We would highly appreciate your valuable comments and suggestions.

so you sent your 485 already? Did you get a receipt? Was your case sent to tSC or did it stay at NSC. it seems that a lot of EB1 cases ended up at TSC and some EB2 (like mine) stayed at NSC. The guys sent to TSC are already getting FP notice. So far, no notice for me!

Hi Dr. Silva,

i did send in finally.... :) along with EAD and AP request. according to USPS is reched them on sep15. no receipt yet.

thanks for your prediction... Will keep you posted. How long did it take to get the check cleared from the date of delivery by mail???
 
You never know. it may still go to TSC. some of the guys that went to TSC also took forever to get their checks cleared. Mine took about 3 and half weeks to clear. In fact the check cleared one night and the next day (9/12) the receipt arrived. also, we shouldn't lose hope even if it stay at NSC as there were other people here who got their cards within 5 months of getting their receipt from NSC.

ON a side note: not all of us is as luck as this friend of mine; his company sponsored his GC. the whole process took only 4 months and he should be getting the actual card in the mail within mthe next few days. but, in our case the longer it gets will only make us appreciate more our effort! :D :D and we can also pass along our experience to other people (as I already am doing with people in my lab!) so that they learn from my mistakes!
