Hi I have a silly questions, I appreciate any comments.

I'm in 485 pending status. I plan to add my wife to my 485 (married after I filed 485). Besides I-485, I also want to apply EAD and AP for her.

My question is: since my lawyer is very greedy, even for trial paper work (reading email, send letter etc) he charges me on an hourly bassis (200$ per hour). So I would like to apply her EAD & AP by myself. What material I need for EAD & AP self application?

I should have filed by myself. My lawyer charged me $550 just for renewing the 2 documents. Any idea on what other lawyers charge on this? I know we shouldn't care too much on the fee, but I just don't feel comfortable when seeing the lawyer taking advantage.
 
Mine charged $500 for renewal of EAD and AP for me and my wife and AP for my daughter. I know him personally, so when I kind of whined a little bit about it, he told me to give whatever I am comfortable with. So I gave him $250.
 
$525 for Second EAD / AP (3EAD's & 4 AP's) at one time

For our Second EAD/AP....My lawyer charged $525 for 3 EAD's & 4 AP's...he told me he is giving me discount...but looking at the charges your Lawyer asked for you guys, I am feeling good... :)

:D Another wonderthing thing about of my lawyer is whenever he wants money from me...he have time to call me/send me mails etc......but now, last 2 months my EAD/AP is stuck & I am asking him to get in touch with USCIS, but he dont have time to write me e-mails & also to returened my calls :D

Classy are you ok now with filing AP and EAD. If not let me now ..I can send you the detail procedure of filing by post. I did it recently.

NOTE:

Prepare two set of applications. One for EAD and one for Advance parole. Put each set in separate envelope and then enclose these two envelopes in one main envelope with this main covering letter. Mention 'Application for Employment Authorization Document for <your wife's name>' on first envelope and 'Application for Employment Authorization for <Your Wife's Name>' on second envelope.
