I was transfered to local office for interview from VSC. Then my lawyer sent my EAD renewal to VSC. I have\'t received receipt yet. What is going to happen with my EAD renewal application? Will it follow me to local INS or VSC will handle it? How to find out status of the application without receipt?

You told me one of your friends trasnfered his file from NJ to PA and got it...are u still in touch with him or know his details?I want to know the following.
1)When he gave change of address to NJ INS , did they transfer his case automatically or did he request them to change?
2) Also how do you know if your papers have reached the Local INS from VSC yet ot not?

As far as I remember, his lawyer send letter to INS office, which one I don\'t know,then he sent letter or went to senator. I am not sure , but his time interval was April-May first transfer, end of October approval.

I got transfer notice from VSC (1 week after transfer) and then I got interview notice from Newark. My TD is 10/12/2001 and interview notice dated 10/25/2001. So after 10 days max, my case reach local office.

I have decided that maybe i will somehow shuttle between FL and VA and maintain this address till interview in over.

I called VSC IIO. My case was trasnfered on November 9th to Arlington.
They issued EAC receipt for EAD renewal on November 8th. When asked if they have trasnfered EAD also she said "NO".
I hope they dont trasnfer after giving me an EAC number from VSC!
So maybe you want to call VSC>
