EAD and switching job.

I applied for my second EAD. Has not been approved. Can I join a different company with the status of EAD pending? It's almost 4 months and no idea when the EAD will be approved.

From what I understand, you need a valid EAD to continue ( or start ) working.

Receipt Notices ( or equivalents ) for EAD are not generally accepted.

You can get an interim EAD from the ASC after waiting for atleast 90 days.
Since you are waiting for 4 mos, go and get your i-EAD. If you let folks know where you are located, they can give you specifics on ASC experience. Most places are just walk-ins ( no appointment needed)

With an iEAD, you can do everything like a regular EAD.
