My wife currently has a COS pending for change from H4 to F1. In the meantime, to take advantage of the USCIS opened dates for filing for AOS, I am doing a concurrent filing of I-140 and 485 (with her name on it). This means that there will be no chance for her F1 to get approved.
Once the I-485 receipt is received, I am planning to file for her EAD asap. Once she gets her EAD, can she continue studying (currently she is studying on H4), and make use of the EAD to take advantage of the assistantship she is being offered? (Hopefully the school extends it/holds it for her when her EAD comes through)
Is there any restriction around this?
