I have a quick question. (I hope). If I get a part time job on my EAD, say for sake of argument delivering pizzas, do I have to switch my regular full-time job from an H1-B to the EAD also?

My friends who hold Green cards told me that ---
If you are the principal applicant and you cannot any take part-time or full-time job other than the one mentioned in your LC with EAD. (eg. If your GC is for a Programmer Position, you can't do any job part-time other than programming, using EAD... Working for Pizza shop or Restaurants are not legal).
I am not sure about this..... Please check it out!

I had also always understood that the part-time job did not need to be related to the duties performed in the primary occupation. (Under which the green card was being processed).
Here's another question. If my wife, whose currently under an H4, uses her EAD when it arrives, does it affect my H1-B? (meaning I would have to then use my EAD instead of H1-B at my primary employer)
Thanks
Mike
