EAD and New Job !!! Any opinion???

Hello Guys,

I know that you are saying that I am not patient, but it is critical for me.
Please take a look at my time line to understnad well my situation.

I have an OPT and it will expire on August 31st of 2007. Monday August 20th is my first day at this Job.
I didn't receive my EAD yet and I went to infopass twice, and no help.
So, can I use the NOA for the I-765 as a receipt (According to what I-9 States) and provide them with the EAD as soon as I receive it ???

I have no clue what should I do, or what will happen to this job if they knew that I didn't receive my EAD yet.

Any ideas????
 
get a letter saying that if your ead is not approved soon, you will lose your job. take it to your DO and plead with them to expedite your ead. they probably will. It happens to people here sometimes. so go plead your case... ut it should take 72 days from the time you applied to get them to approve your ead. You can't use a reciept in the I-9 form.
 
I went two times to Infopass. They told me you have to wait. I pleaded and I did every thing I could just to convince them that I can't lose this job because we had a baby on August 6th of 2007. They told me that's why you have to have a sponsor. You have to wait.
I will see what will happen tomorrow.
But according to what you've said, if it takes only 72 days to get my EAD, I should be fine because in that case, I will receive it on August 31 st, and in this case, I can work ;)
 
So, I will give them my NOA for the I-765 and work since my OPT didn't expire yet.

Hopefully, that works for them.

What do you think PraetorianXI ??? I asked you specific because you were my help in all my applications and you didn't miss not even one time.:p
 
I think it will be fine, you will make it. Sorry about your DO Officers being a pain in the butt.

my best advive would be wait for your EAD before you start working, is okay to secure a job but wait till you actually see it, before you start working.

Tomorrow is my first day at this new Job, and they investigated every thing excepet for my work permit. LOL

However, regarding the DO, they were unhelpfull. Excepet for on office who felt sympathy with my wife when she was pregnant, who talked to the officer. The office made a copy of my I-765 and she said I will fax it to the NBC. I didn't believe her, but it was worth trying.
After the appointment with the DO, I sent a letter to the NBC with a copy of my New born baby, and asked them to expedite my EAD, so I can support my family.

No Updates on the USCIS.GOV, but I received a letter for the I-485 a week ago, while the LUD shows june 24, 2007. Is the USCIS website accurate regarding the updates??

Thanks for your adice. But the thing is, I can work from now till August 31st, because my OPT didn't expire yet. An hopefully, I will receive my EAD before that time. Who knows!!!!

It is accurate sometimes, but then lately it has not been updated and some people received approvals without the online status changing...

LOOL @ COPY OF my new born baby. I meant a paper shows the date of her birthdate.

My new job is IT Administrator. I quit from HP and got a better offer in another company. ;) I will keep it's name confidenI tial for now, until I find out tomorrow what's gonna happen with my Job. LOOL.
