EAD and Name check

is there any relation between EAD and Name check. I have not heard anything about my 3rd EAD which was applied on Sept 6th. I am also stuck in name check. Now I am thinking the delay in my EAD may be due to pending name check. Any body has any experice? Is there anybody with pending EAD for a long time and also in name check trap?

That cannot be the case; my ead(5th) got approved last week filed on aug 1st as vsc.
My name check is pending since 2003 nov
