EAD and ITIN#

My wife was in H4 and she did not get her SSN. Now she got EAD. If she has to work using EAD, doesn't she need a SSN?

Can I apply for her SSN now with just the EAD?

Any clarifications anybody?

You can apply for SSN on the ground that she has a EAD. This is perfectly fine from all viewpoints.

Yes

Your wife needs SSN to work using EAD. You can apply for SSN in any Social Security Admin office. This office normally sends your wife's EAD information to BCIS and waits until the response is received, before issuing the SSN. Might take couple of weeks to get the response from BCIS.
