EAD and H1B.Please help

My qestion is, if someone applies for EAD and gets it does the H1B status get invalid and EAD supercedes? And moreover after getting the EAD can one go for an extension of H1?

EAD

Getting EAD merely in the hand doesn't change anything unless you use it to get employed by filling out Form I-9.

H-1 is not affected at all unless EAD is used.

H1B does not get invalidated unless you use EAD to get another job.
Yes, you may apply for H1B extension if you have not used the EAD.
