EAD and H1

Hi,

I am working on my EAD (which expires May 4, 2004) at a company which is NOT going to sponsor my H1. I can work here (if I can) till my EAD expires.

I joined a consulting company and they have done my H1 (approved date is Feb 17). However I have'nt got a project yet.

My question is, can I work in the first company on my EAD till I get a project with my consulting company? Or has the EAD expired as soon as my H1 got approved?

Will really appreciate any info.

Just an H1 approval will not kill your EAD status.However if you do move on to a job on that h1 , I guess EAD will die a natural death.

May I also suggest you to visit the EAD/H1 threads(plenty of them) in the 485 section of Immigrant visas(Greencard) so taht you clarify all your doubts.
