EAD and H1 B question

I am trying to reframe my question from one my previous posts.

Current H1 B with company X
EAD approved with company X
485 pending with company X

Have the confirmation from the company Owner of X that he will not revoke or try to do any thing to my I-140 application even if i leave.

Now got an offer from company Y, Instead of invoking a AC21, i want to just transfer my H1b to company Y, and let my 485 processing continue with company X.

Is this an acceptable situation. Do you guys see any issues with the situation.

It's all right as long as you intend to work for employer X after receiving the GC.
