EAD and GC - 6 months calculation as a permanent resident

Is the 6 month period after GC approval is still required after being with the GC sponsored employer on EAD for almost an year.

First of all, 6-month thing is not a requirement, but a thumb rule recommanded by many immigration lawyers and experts.

Secondly, working years before GC approval does count for "parmament employment" (the very reason an alien GC gets for).

Thanks. But my understanding is that EAD is given on the basis of 485 is pending. So if some one is on EAD means he is working on the job title that is mentioned in the Labor certification of the GC.

No, it does not mean anything. You can use EAD for working any job - including working at MacDonalds. It not necessarily has to be the job title mentioned LC.
