EAD and Business

I have applied for EAD (employment based: software engineer). My I-485 is pending. While keeping my current full time job, can I pursue a additional part time job in non technical field(e.g. selling toys)? Will that affect my pending I-485? -Thanks. Mrudula

Having EAD means you lose H1B. If you are not changing the sponsoring employer then you can continue H1B with them and work on EAD part time yourself.

does the same logic aplies for spouse's EAD? i.e if the spouse uses her EAD then the H1 gets invalidated?
