EAD ANd AP renewal

Can I apply for renewal of AP and EAD myself?
How long is it taking these days? Planning to visit home country in December.
How much does it cost for renewal? Where would I get the forms and which forms?
My lawyer is asking for a big fee if they do it for me, I'd rather apply for the renewal myself if I can.
Please advise.

It is very simple to renew your EAD.

You may need the help of a lawyer only if you don't have all the information requested in the Form (I-765).
