EAD and AP Renewal question

Guys,

I have H1B valid till next year. Because I traveled to India I applied for AP and EAD. Reentered USA with advance parole.

1. Should I have to renew EAD when it expires even though I have valid H1B?
2. Should I have to renew my AP even though I don’t have plans to travel outside the country in near future?
3. Because the stamp is valid for one year, What should be done to get new I94 card?

If your Visa is valid and if you are not using EAD to work, there is no need to show AP at POE.

1. Should I have to renew EAD when it expires even though I have valid H1B?

If you are working on EAD, you have to renew the EAD. If you are not using EAD, it is your decision whether to renew or not. But in this bad economy it is always good to have EAD handy in case you have to take up another job.


2. Should I have to renew my AP even though I don’t have plans to travel outside the country in near future?

It is always good to have AP in case any emergency arises and your H1 visa has expired/expiring.


3. Because the stamp is valid for one year, What should be done to get new I94 card?

You will get a new I94 upon reentry or upon renewal of your H1.

The reason I used parole to reenter is becoz I didnt get Visa stamped on my passport when I renewed my H1B for next 3 years. I didnt leave the country at that time so didnt get that stamped. Now I 94 on my pasport only shows parole stamp. My question is when my I 94 expires after rentry and before my 485 approval what should I need to do becuse it has only paroled until date is there?
