EAD and AP receipt notices

Folks ,

Me and my wife had applied for our AP and EAD at the same time through our lawyer . I have received the notice of filing and my case has also been approved , but myself or the Lawyers have not received the receipt notice for my wife yet .

Is this common for the INS ?

We tried calling the INS and were not successful in getting the case number from them .

Could someone advice what needs to be done ?

Hi:
You can go to your bank, asking for copies of checks you used to apply for EAD and AP. The case number is on the back of the checks. Good luck.

If you have different last names then the rcpt may have come and returned back. At least that is what happened in my case.
