Hi there,

My husband filed for my paperwork ie;

I 485 Adjustment of status
Employment Authorization , AND
Travel Document I-131

on March 30th 2005.

Its been more than 2 months and we have not received any thing . Not even a receipt of our records.
So, I called the Customer Service Center and after so many repeated phone calls , I was able to get a Receipt number starting from WAC.
Now this only shows the status of my Green Card application and other 2 it does not show. I again called them up and spoke to another "Immigration Officer" and he told me that they have started putting your file together starting June 8th 2005 , so its gonna take another 90 days before I get travel document.
I was told to get an appointment and meet the officer personally and ask for the status of my case.

Has anyone ever experience anything like this before in the LA office. ?

Any suggestions ?
 
Did you efile or Paperfile?
If you did a regular paper file check to see if the Checks got
cleared from the Bank
If it did not get cleared, then it might be wise to apply again
If the checks did clear, then the Receipt numbers should be printed at
the back side of the check
You can track the status based on that receipt number

My husband applied for my paperwork - through a lawyer (a Paralegal lady) . We have the copy of the paperwork - and its stamped saying 30th March 2005 in LA local office.
The check was cashed on April 11th 2005 (10 days after filing the paperwork).
We even have the copy of the cheque that is cashed , BUT we tried filling all the numbers that were at the back of the cheque- there is NO RECEIPT NUMBER.
Then , we called the Immigration officer and he did give me a number based on my last name. BUT THAT number - only shows the status of my PR - Green Card application. There is no mention of the TRAVEL DOCUMENT OR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. And we have filed all the papers together.

ONE MORE STRANGE thing is that it says that they said they have received my paperwork on June 10th 2005 , whereas our Paralegal Lady - the lawyer said that she filed the paperwork on March 30th 2005. It has a STAMP TOO.

I am very confused.
