EAD and AP didn\'t renew, still has valid H1-B, Is it a problem?

Hi

   I have taken EAD and AP when applied I-485 last year. They both are expired now. But I am still working
   for same company and I have Valid H1-B till December, 2001. I never used my EAD or AP.
  That\'s why I did not renew them. Is it a problem for me because I did not renew them?
   Please some body reply

I think it might be, my understanding is that once you apply for EAD your H1 is not valid anymore. Check with your lawyer.

As long as you have a valid H1 from the same Employer you DO NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEM. EAD is only if you donot want to use H1 for employment..like second job or part time work.

As long as you didn\'t fill out your I-9 form with employer your H1 is still valid. You need not do anything with EAD. Get a EAD and using it is different. If you use EAD for job(By filling I-9 form) then your H1 is not valid.anyway check with your lawyer. I have renewed my H1 even after applying for EAD.
