EAD and 7thyr extension

My i-140 is approved and I-485 is pending > 180days at local office.

I have both EAD and H1b.

Im planning to renew H1b 7yr extension by my current company (h1 sponsorer). H1b expiring July 30.

I would like to use my EAD to work for new company. If I use EAD for new company and my 485 is denied. Can I fall back on H1-7th yr extension? Or 7th-extsion transferable to new company after my 485 is denied?

The best way to handle is get the 7th year extension first since you have less time and you can work for new company using EAD and if 485 is denied and since you still have h1B AND can work...Hope this helps
