EAD and 7th year H1B question

Hi,

If I filed I-140 and I485 concurrently with application for EAD, my I140 still pending, can I use the EAD to work for a company which is not the I140 sponsor? Is that it usually takes about 90 days to get EAD even though I140 still pending?

To be eligible for 7years H1B extension, should the I140 has to been filed 365 days ago? Or as long as I140 is filed, no matter how long ago, I will be able to file for H1B 7 year extension?

Please advice, it is very important, I havn't found any answer yet.

If 6 months passed after your 485 filing date, then you can work for another company with this EAD.

Yes Its true EAD takes around 90 days max period to get.

a follow-up question: Is the H1B 7th year extension has to be filed by the same employer who filed the I140? If I got another employer to file the I140 for me, but I want a different employer to file the H1B 7th year extension for me, am I eligible for the 7th year benefit?

NIW and H1B extension

Another follow-up question. If I submit application for I140 based on National Interest Waiver (NIW), am I still eligible for the benefit of H1B 7th year extension? say I file for NIW few months before H1B 6 year limit up, can I file 7th year extension based on the receipt I got for I140 NIW application?

CP and EAD

Hi,

Yet another question, please excuse my innocence:

If I file I140 and CP concurrently, rather than AOS. How does that apply to EAD? Can I file I140 together with application for EAD and AP? And can I still use the EAD after filing for 6 months? Since I expect I140 processing lasts much more than 6 months.

Greatly apprecicate any help.
