Hi Gurus,

Congratulations to those who got GC approvals (I-485 & CP). Thanks for all the information you guys are posting.

I have a question regarding EAD. I have applied for I-140 with CP option (TSC). I am still waiting for I-140 approval. Now, my question is:

Can I apply for EAD for my wife (without applying for I-485) after my I-140 approval while waiting for CP interview date? I know, it sounds crazy, but I want to know whether it is possible or not?

My idea is: If we apply for EAD for my wife, after 3 months she can get EAD from local INS office (using the EAD receipt) and start working. This way, she can save time, incase CP interview date is delayed.

You need to apply for I-485 first, then for EAD, which means you may have problems with your CP in future.
