EAD & AP Delayed (Orlando, Florida) -- PLease Help !

Hello Ciba & Others,

We applied for I-485 in March, 2000 (WAC-01-143-XXXX). Also applied for EAD & AP. I received my approved AP and EAD with in 1 week of the approval. But my wife\'s EAD and AP hasn\'t been received yet. It\'s more than 45 days for AP and 20 days for EAD. The AVM says that it\'s approved and mailed. I receive my approvals in 1 week and i do not receive my wife\'s approvals. I called and spoke to IIO several times. The Address on file is correct and every time i call they say " please be patient". It usually takes time for approvals to be received in mail.

I went to Local INS office here (Orlando, FL) this morning and suprisingly they told they do not know what Interim EAD is and they do not do them there.

Spoke to my attorney, he says that we need to send a new petition for AP and Replacement of EAD to INS ..??>

I do not know if this is the right thing. Could someone please advice what the best option would be :
a) Wait for Approval
b) File new petion for AP and Replacement of EAD.

Hi Mohammed,

The time frames for getting AP and EAD are two weeks and
one and half month, respectively, after cases are approved.
It appears that your wife\'s AP is lost, whereas EAD is on
its way. Since you live in Orlando, address could be an
issue. Why don\'t you ask your lawyer to send a fax making
an inquiry instead of applying for a new one?
