Hi ,
I am married to an USC and planning to apply for GC and EAD. I am currently on an F-1 visa. How long it will take to get an EAD and what is the order of the documents to be filed? I am from georgia , so where can i apply? can I apply in atlanta local office?

Plz let me know the detailed filing instructions as i have no clue how to do it? also I appreciate inputs regarding Atlanta timelines.

THANK YOU,
TRGI.

trgi,

You always do your search in the 'search' column and type, AOS filing or georgia filing time. There are hundreds of info about how to filing the AOS in here. The basic things how to file, you have to file forms:-

1. I-485
2. I-130
3. I-693 (medical exam)
4. I-864
5. G-325A (its 4 pages, fill in 4 pages for each person, you and your spouse)
6. I-765 (EAD) - you will get your card between 6- 90 days of filing.
7. I-131 (Advance Parole, optional - if you want to travel while your case is pending)

About where to file, I'm sorry I cannot answer that since I live in the different state. Good luck :)

For all the forms, if you do it yourself, its about less than $1000. If you hire attorney, its triple than that.

Have a nice day. I'm not a lawyer, pls act accordingly.
