EAD after AOS?

My 485 appn has been pending for a few months. Recently I applied for EAD. If 485 is approved before the EAD, will I still get the EAD card or processing will be stopped for that? Appreciate any input. Thanks.

If your I-485 is approved, then EAD is useless though you apply. After approval, you will either recieve original approval letter or a coutesy copy of approval letter from INS. Then you may have to go your local INS for passport stamping.At this time, you have to surrender your EAD and Advance Parole if any to INS. As these are of no use after your I-485 approval, those will be put into garbage in front of you and your passport will be stamped.
