EAD after 180 days

Guys,
I would like to clarify one thing. I would like to switch from H1-B to EAD status. My boss doesn\'t care about it so I would like to know:
1. if I have to inform INS about my change of employers (my lawyer told me that\'s not necessary to inform INS)
2. if this step can harm my AOS procedure
3. what I need to get from a new employer (letter of employent,...?)
4. do I need some kind of formal notice from my current boss?

1) No need to inform INS if same employer. Need to inform INS if after 180 days of RD and different employer
2)If diff employer then your "work" should be similar for what your LC was filed.
3) Yes ...
4) I think you need to fill some form ..check with HR ..I9 form i guess not sure...
