EAC-02-060 Stats. Why so many Transfers?

I scanned all 485 cases from EAC-020-60-52001 to EAC-02-060-55500

Total Cases - 517
Approved - 140 (27%)
Transferred - 128 (25%)
RFE sent - 41
RFE recvd - 41
FP received - 155

What's interesting is the number of *transferred* cases is almost equal to the number of *approved* cases.

Do family based immigration also go through 485 process ? Its strange to have some many transfers for employment cases!!

VSC wants to clear the backlog?

I believe family-based I-485 is filed in local BCIS or Missouri Service Center.

The large # of tranfers for older cases, may indicate that VSC wants to clear the backlog by sending them to local BCIS offices.
