EA, NIW, OR-please suggest

HI Guys,

Please evaluate and tell me positive, negative of my case. I am planning to apply for EA, NIW, OR

1. PhD
2. 7 publication include 4 international reputed journal
3. Citations total 24
4. Detalied citations in discussions 3
5.One book chapter
6. One invited review
7. One invited talk
8. guided two MS students doing PhD in US now
9. member of two professional societies
10. Though selected for the reviewer for industry project review by USDA, I have email to that effect, but have not reviewed any project yet.
11.One probable patent, we are going to file in comming month, it is basically updating and combining a earlier patent and my name will be included.
12. Four recomendations from professors from US, Germany, UK (person not known to me
13. 6 recomendations from my known contacts.
14 conference presentations 10
15. reviewed one book, three papers.

Credentials similar to mine. I will submit for NIW very soon.
I would certainly obtain more letters from people who don't know you.
What is your field.

With your informations it impossible to say if you have chances for NIW without knowing in which field you are working etc. So here my opinion about EA or OR

1) Good for both
2) in which journals are the remaining 3 papers ? => good for OR, need much more for EA
3) OK for OR, need much more for EA
4) Could be more for OR and EA
5) Only author, if yes than good for EA and OR, if "just" coauthor with supervisor than good for OR but nor for EA
6) Only author, if yes than good for EA and OR, if "just" coauthor with supervisor than good for OR but nor for EA. Also for which journal ?
7) Ok for OR, need more for EA
8) doesn't really help for OR or EA
9) Did they invite you to join the two professional societies, do you have to pay fees ? ACS for example is also a professional society but doesn't count for OR or EA
10) As long you haven't review anything doesn't count for EA or OR
11) Counts like a paper
12) You need much more for EA and OR and also from high-ranking people in academia and industry. Crucial for EA, OR and NIW
13) Should be included in petition but not so important
14) Always as presenting author ? If yes, good for EA and OR
15) Do you have letters stating that you were chosen because of your high qualification ? For EA you should be work as a referee more often


If you get more recommendation letters from people who don't know you, I think you have good chances in OR but I am not too optimistic for EA. NIW is impossible to predict without knowing what exactly you are doing.

What exactly in molecular biology ? Something related to cancer or inflammation diseases and you one of few who is an expert in this area ?
