The bad news is that you can't add a case to a portfolio if you don't have a receipt number, e.g. cases filed with local DO.ari4u said:payala, you need to register online here, https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp create a portfolio and add all receipt numbers to the portfolio and choose to be notified by email whenever your case status changes.

USCIS Case Status Page said:Note: Case Status is available for Applications and Petitions which were filed at USCIS Service Centers. If you filed at a USCIS Local Office, your case status may not be reviewable online...
I agree with you Cherr. However, I would emphasize not to give much attention to the online case status. In my case, my EAD is approved but online status is still shows pending. I called USCIS and the automated system shows it as pending also. Talked to the CSR and she said that its pending. BUT, I do have my card in my hands. This scares me.cherr1980 said:That is not true.
The message that you are reading is the one in front of the Case Status page, and must of us can see their cases at online status. Actually if your receipt start with MSC means Missouri Service Center which is in fact a service center. You can see perfectly (after awhile if you are new) your case there.
You can do your portfolio perfectly. In fact I did add my cases to a portfolio, one of the advantages is that you can see all your cases at once and just click to see the one that you want. And I check to receive emails. I received an email of confirmation after I signed up.
