E-file for I-131 (urgent, help appreciated)

My husband and I got married yesterday because we wanted to go to Carribean island during Christmas holiday for our honeymoon. I'm holding F-1 visa and will need advanced parole asap. We don't have much time left. We're considering apply for I-131 on line. Does anyone have experience of sending E-file? It seems I have to have the I-485 application file at the immigration office in order to process to apply on line. We will send out I-485 application and other materials this coming week. Do we have to apply on line after we send out other materials or we can indicate I-485 application is pending and go ahead apply for I-131 on line first this weekend and send out materials out this coming week? I would appreciate your kind reply. Thank you so much.

I learned the hard way that it's better to send all the documets together and don't use E-file.

See, in order for you to E-file I-131 on the basis of pending I-485 they will ask you for a receipt notice for I-485 which will take a couple of weeks to arrive. So, I would recommend sending everything TOGETHER in paper form.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong.

That's the way i thought it should be. But i heard urgent applicant could go to local office to apply for AP in person, as long as he/she had the I-485 notice. The local office could approve it second day. But i don't know how real it is...before i submitted my package, i had been trying to figure out a quick way to get AP sooner, so i called an immigration attorney for this help but he didn't tell me unless i had to pay him...

thanks

thanks a lot for you guys' reply. I will send all the forms by paper then.

This is probably a stupid question. I live in North Carolina. Do I have to submit the forms to Chicago office or Texas office, or I can submit all the forms together to local office such as Charlotte, NC office?

I've just started to prepare all the documents. very confusing. Thanks for your reply in advance.
