DV2021 - name change after submission?

Hi all,

My wife and I got married last month and we’re planning on entering DV2021 shortly. As it’s only been a couple of weeks since we got married she hasn’t yet legally changed her name, but may well do so before next May. I assume that we should enter with her maiden name, as that is what is currently listed on her legal documents, but what would the impact be if we were lucky enough to be selected and she had changed her surname by that time?

Also, we are both British citizens, but whilst I was born in England she was born in Hong Kong - therefore, my eligibility is based upon claiming her country of birth. Am I correct in thinking we are still able to put in two applications, one for each of us listing the other as our spouse, without this counting as a duplicate entry?

Many thanks,

Guy

You'll just need to provide all the documentation around her name change - marriage certificate etc
Yes you can submit an application with changeability to her country in addition to her application - this would not be a duplicate entry

I have accidentally replaced my first name and last name on dv entry form. will it lead to disqualification? then what should i do after if i selected to dv visa process?
i have all the documents to confirm that was a genuine mistake.

There’s really not much you can do now. Just wait until May next year to see if you’re selected. If you are, then you may be able to correct this — though no one can guarantee if you’ll get disqualified or not.
