I thought it was a good idea to have a thread specifically for the month you are current for.

I am waiting.....

I am also waiting....
Are you going to email KCC and ask about your interview date?

CN - 2011EU00012***
May 18, 2010 - Received 1st NL
May 25, 2010 - Mailed docs to KCC
June 8th, 2010 - KCC received docs

I did email KCC, this is what they replied on 15 September. I just want to know the interview date as soon as possible, so I can start to make plans, book time off work etc. I am living in Spain, the Spanish post office (correos) is a little unreliable to say the least.

Thank you for your inquiry.
Your case number is now current for interview processing. You may contact KCC after 7 to 10 business days for information about a possible interview date. Once the interview date has been scheduled, you will receive a notification letter from KCC.

Will try again on 1st October I think.

Good Luck

Yes, similar situation here. I am in Lithuania, and it took 1 month to receive the 1st NL... so I want to know my interview date asap so that I could plan everything in advance. I read in another thread that KCC encourages people to contact them after the 15th, so I'll try then.

Good luck and keep us posted on how things are progressing!

I sent KCC an email yesterday, on 28 September. explaining that my mail service is unreliable, and I am concerned that I may miss the interview whilst waiting for the letter to arrive. I asked if they could provide me with the interview date, so I can be sure I don't miss the interview.

Here is the reply I received today.

Thank you for your inquiry.

An interview for this case has been scheduled at the American Consulate/Embassy of Madrid on November 1x, 2010. A notification letter was sent to you on September 15, 2010. Please direct any further questions regarding the processing of your case to this embassy.

Excellent! Great to hear the good news. Good luck with preparing for your interview.
I'll email KCC re: my case, my CN is 12***, so I'll probably have my appt at the very end of the month, but maybe they finished processing already.

Great news, I just received an I-134 on 1 October, which was posted by my sponsor on 9 September, so hopefully I will receive the 2NL next week. I will post as soon as it comes.

Good Luck Everyone

Hi Jules,

Do we really need to provide the I-134 document in the interview? Is it essential?
Did anyone email at KCC to know the necessary documents they might have need for the interview?

Good question. There does not seem to be a definitive answer to this. It seems that some consulates will ask for it, others will not, but from what I have read, I think the officer making the decision needs to think you will not become a public charge.

They decide this based on all of your personal circumstances, such as how much work experience do you have, what is your profession, how employable will you be to an American company. I believe that if they are sure you will easily find a well paid job, they will issue a visa. They will also be looking at how much money you have to migrate with, whether you have a personal sponsor who will help you out if you are in trouble, whether youe have a job arranged. There is no definitive formula for this, just guidance for the officer who makes the decision.

I have obtained the I-134 as I am lucky enough to have a very close friend who is a US citizen, so I figured it is better to have it than not. If you have someone who can sponsor you, I would get an I-134; if you dont have anyone then try to maximise the amount of money you have to migrate with. You should aim to build the strongest possible case for yourself to present to the case officer at your interview.

I believe your 2NL will contain a list of document that you need to take with you, the contents of the letter sent for an Australian applicant has been placed on the winners from australia thread.
Good Luck

Hi All,

Im a winner of DV 2011. On July 11th I realized I'm a winner. I did not receive my first NL. I've sent my forms to KCC by 31st of August without case number because I haven't my first NL. Below is KCC reply when I asked about my case number

Thank you for your inquiry,

You must visit the Department of State website at dvselectee.state.gov where you will find instructions and forms for completing the required processing steps. Once your forms have been received, and your selection has been confirmed, your case will continue processing.

The omission of your case number on the forms will not affect the processing of your case. It is not necessary to submit additional forms to amend this mistake.

The failure to include the bar code sheet with your forms will not affect the processing of your case. It is not necessary to submit the bar code sheet to KCC if you have already sent your forms.

Here I saw some of winners are discussing about KCC confirmation for their forms which they send first.

When I sent my forms KCC, KCC didn't notify me that they have received anything from me.

I would appreciate all of you to help on my questions :)

***Is the "DATE" important for sending the forms to KCC? I've sent on 31st Aug 2010.

***How can I find out what was my case number?

***Any Idea how long more I need to wait for second NL?

***How long KCC will continue to send second NL?

Thanks much to all of you & wish you luck :)

I will try to answer your questions based on the information that I have found out so far.
The date you send your forms to KCC is important, I have read it takes around 12 weeks for these forms to be processed, so if you sent them on 31 August, they may not be processed until the end of November.
I think the only way of finding out your case number is for KCC to tell you, just keep asking them.
There is no way to know when yoiu will receive your 2NL unless you know your case number, just keep emailing KCC.
KCC will send a 2NL when your forms have been processed, your case number is current, and an appointment has been made at your consular office.
When people talk about some notification that forms have been received at KCC, they normally mean they set the documents via a courier or postal service that tracks the package through to delivery, so that you can check that it has been successfully delivered. I sent mine by certified mail, and checked on the web site for delivery conformation.
Sometimes, when people ask for an interview date, they are told their forms have been processed, and are waiting for an interview to be scheduled.

Hope that helps, the best thing you can do is keep trying to find your case numebr, email them, call them, just don't give up..

Hello everyone,

If I want to re-send the DSP-122 and DSP-230 (part-I and part-II) forms, is this possible as long as my Case Number is high and hopefully my CN will be current in Jan/Feb? I did couple of mistakes in my forms! So, please reply someone who truly know about this kinda situation!

I would email KCC, and explain the mistakes you made, and ask for their advice on what you should do.

Yeah, I emailed them but they didn't reply yet! I don't know how long it will take to get their reply, probably I should call them over phone!
