DV2006 Processing time

Hi there

Just wanted to know - how long does processing of your application take after the interview?

My wife and I are DV2006 winners with the number AF36XXX. If at all,our number will only become current in September. If we have all our documents in place, is there a chance of successfully completing this application before the end of the fiscal year?

Thanks!
P

Hi Phant,
It varies from case to case. You may be granted parmanent residence at the interview. In this case, it doesn't really matter if you got your green card in the mail before the last day of September. As long as USCIS record shows you were granted PR before September 30th, you're going to be ok. And this is of course, the best scenario. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes some more time after interview to finish your case due to, for example, name check that has not been cleared or other reasons. But what's the point of taking this option into consideration, right?
Let's hope everything will work out for you and everybody else still waiting for their green cards.
Good luck,

question

Hy all! Im very new about DV program, i just would like to ask you WHEN will starting the 2008 DV program and how can I make an entry?

We think that there won't be DV2008,because there wre many talks about cancelling this program.
There are over 11 mil. illegal immigrnt in the States,so they want to take care about them first.
We just hope that this decision won't make problems with DV2007 winners, but I think it won't.It would be very unprofessional to do that.
But there is a big chance for DV Lottery to be cancelled from October 1,2006

I am DV-2006 winner with the number EU15xxx and I live in Brooklyn,NY. I don't know where do I have to send my documents (address). Thank you!!!!!!!
