DV-visa processing

Hi,

I have won the DV-2005,and on Decemeber's 6th i have done my interview at the US embassy in Sana'a, Yemen. Everything went right, but at the end of the interview I was asked to pay extra fee ($85) in order to make ink-fingerprints check for me besides the scanning-fingerprints.
I knew later that the fingerprints result was sent on January 12th, but when I called the embassy to ask about my visa, they told me that my file has been sent to washington in order to issue my registration number, and I still wait.
I need to know if these procedures are normal, or there is something wrong with my case.

I am afraid you must expect to wait a little longer. I did mine in Febraury and until day i have not had my visa.The consulate has persistently ask me to wait that they are still processing or monitoring the processing.I sometimes wonder what the matter is and feel terrible about this long delay.I took my passport on that same day and i have since then not been able to travel elsewhere nor carry out any other visa transactions.
Its terrible but from my experience, donot expect things to work too soon.
