DV lottery question

Hi there to everybody. I was wondering if somebody would know if my spouse could apply for the DV lottery in order to increase my chances. The thing is that my spouse is a US citizen and I see that in the DV lottery entry the US is listed. I am not sure how would that work, If somebody knows please let me know. Thanks

Not sure where you see that, no a US citizen cannot apply for a US visa. Your spouse can of course give you a very certain chance of a visa, way more than the 1% or so of entering DV, by petitioning/sponsoring your for a spousal visa.

Thanks for your response. I saw it in the section "5. Country where you were born" of the DV visa entry form that the US is listed but I notice also that all countries are listed. I was wondering if it was valid to change the country of eligibility later in section 6.

You will see that the US is not listed as an option under country of eligibility, because it is not eligible. It is a county of birth option because there are circumstances (such as birth to a diplomat) where being born in the US does not confer US citizenship.
