I am a dual citizen of Sri Lanka and Australia. I was born in Sri Lanka. Can I apply through Australia? where I am a naturalized citizen?

would both the above countries have equal chances of success? or would one have more chances over the other?

Eligibility is based on where you were born NOT your current citizenship. There are some exceptions through your parents place of birth, but for the vast majority of people it is nativity (place of birth) that controls your entry.
