DV Lottery 2011 - How to find out?

I applied to the DV Lottery 2011 but I am not sure how you get a notification. Is it via email or post? I have a tendency to delete emails that come into my junk mail - especially since I thought the results start coming in July.
I didn't realise people get notification from April.
So it via email or post? What is the subject of the email / what does it say?
Can I check online in case I deleted the email?
When I went on the website is says to check after July 1?

You'll receive the notification letter by post. If you haven't received one by July first you can check online here by using the confirmation number you received when you entered.

Well, it's really weird this year, the NLs are so late and i don't know why?! friends from Egypt told me, there are just 6 winners so far !!, 6 winners??? knowing that Egypt have a big share in the lottery like Kenya etc...

Asia, is almost NONE !!!... nothing for Asia so far, except a guy from Malaysia i suppose !!...

so what the heck is going on? what's wrong with KCC? i don't think that the POSTAL SERVICE in the WHOLE WORLD is that BAD to be not able to deliver the letters !!

something went wrong this year i'm sure !... but no one knows what happened really !!

I think all the dv winners who are residing in the us receive their letters first due to postal services... i'm from Asia (Malaysia as well) living in the US and got my letter about a week ago... just be patient and hang in there! it has to get out sooner or later!

and yes that's true !!... all the residents in the US are receiving the letter first !...
well, i'm patient and blah blah, but it's just weird this year specially !...
