Hi, My best regards to all of you.
After view most of thread post on past months regards DV, I like to share my experience of adjust of status under DV-2003.
case no.: 2003AS24*** I file I-485 on early Oct. 2002 and follow Instruction from BCIC to completed fingerprint & phycal exam before Nov. and done interview at BCIS on Nov. 18, 2002.
Then It's a long way waiting for visa available through check Visa bulletin every month.
on early July 2003 found the cut off no. for Aisa on advance notice for Sept. is #21400. ( it didn't happen on past few year, That always current on Aug or Sept. by look past year visa bulletin) I called KCC they told me that 's the no. for this year and I don't have chance & suggest you to join DV-2005. :)
Then I went to BCIS and saw the officer who handle interview, First he told me my no. isn't available yet just wait. After I show him the answer from KCC, he told me BCIS have no control of cut off no. if no. not available I don't have chance.
That mean we spent whole year prepaid for PE, fingerprint, Interview and paid all the fee is in vain. The most worse thing is wait for year for nothing. That's my story. /BC

Ps. I have a friend have been choiced for DV-2003 too, his no. 2003AS35*** and he spent $7,000 hired attorny to file AOS for his family. same result for nothing.

For DV winner to share experence with AOS

Hello,

Just read some recently thread posted. I think the thread I post on Oct. last year will give you guy some idea about AOS, Some state BCIS can accept your application before your rank no. already visa available( some State BCIC is not accept except your visa available). The reason I think is AOS need time to get ready while visa is availabe and BCIC not direct involve on DV on Rank #. so BCIC can not control DV AOS. So those thing like me, BCIS accpt your application & fee, ask you do fingerprint, Medical exam and interviewed and then ask you to wait for visa available. If by September 31 your rank # is not available you can't get GC. BCIS will send you a notice later tell you because you don't have a immigration visa ready for you by Sept. 31, so you are not qualify to receive GC and your case is deny.

Its true that we need to wait, but the chance of getting interview date depend on your #, i have high # also ( AF 455**) and am not loosing hope because my # does not really matter much. the # is the Randomly selected # and the more the vacuum between the #s the more chance i have  the statement said that most of the 50,000 pple do not always get throught to the visa issuance. so lets hope that we will get throught this time.
Dont bother about the cuttoff # but pray that what has the senerio we have in the yr b4 last will repeat its self.

good luck to every winner. :)
