Hi there,

This forum is amazing and I had to put my question up here because you guys seem like the only ones who are capable of answering some of my questions.
So basically I’m a DV2014 winner from Europe and my case number is 2014EU000075xx
(I’m from Hungary which had 214 selectee’s last year)
I lived in the states for 5 years with F-1 visa and I’m just about to start my paid internship/job this summer, however my OPT work authorization expires on the 14th of January 2014.
I also have a reckless driving on my record, which I don’t know if it’s going to affect anything I just wanted to tell you so you know the whole case.

My questions are simple but important:
If you were me would you choose CP or AOS and what’s the reason? (Obviously my goal is just maximizing my chances to get a green card and I don’t care about much else even though it would be nice to continue working and living in the states during the process)

Around which month should could I expect the interview with CP? and with AOS?

From the interview date, how long does it usually take the decision to be made?

If I choose CP would the “advance parole” be hard to get and do you think I’d have problems returning for work? (my thinking here is that when I ‘d leave for the interview it would be important to come back to continue my job, however my visa still be F-1 and at that point with a clear intent to immigrate)

The Employment Authorization, Form I-765 looks great, do you think that could be useful to me in any way if I opt for AOS?

Most of your questions are answered in DV2014 AOS thread, look at there. If you still have questions, you can post there.
