DV-2012 People in US based on Asylum approval who applied for GC and for DV_2012

Hi everybody.I have some questions after I present you my situation which is:Asylum approved on May 2002 ,applied for GC after one year 2003,still waiting for it but I got done the fingerprints like 3-4 times by now and in Nov.2006 I had my medical done.Since then my application for GC was constantley transfered from Nebraska Center in 2007 to Local office and since feb. sent to Asylum Office to SF.,and I am wondering what that means .I applied for DV and I have not been selected but what is interesting is the confirmation nr.20122dbxxxxxx cause I was born in a country from Europe and I thought my nr shold be something like 2012EUxxxxxx right?Any advice or feedback willbe verry appriciated.P.S.-being in the country for almost 10 years and never been o wealfare or any free crap from goverment just onesty workwd and paid taxes-I give this details to not run on kind of presumtions.Thanks a lot again

ONly for the people that win and are given case numbers there case number start with the year, followed by the region and then the case number they have, for example mine was DV 2011EU00023xx, as I am from Europe. The number that you have is just a confirmation number and they are just random combinations of letter and numbers, nothing to do with the region you apply from.
