DV-2009 Photo Requirements

I have a question about DV-2009 photo requirements.

It is said that the photo must be 150 dpi.

I tried validating a photo which is 96 dpi, and the validator confirmed that it is valid!!!

Any explanations?
 
Then u can send it but remember the background should be white or light color and your face must be clearly shown, or if u have no problem then send a photo with 150 dpi, why bother with laws!
 
Personally I'd send it in exactly the resolution they stipulate even if it will allow 96dpi. It's not worth risking anything to jepordise your chances.
