Hello here!
You guys are something else...Thanks a thousand times for some Forum like this, it's been so helpful. Thanks again and God bless:

Here're my Questions!
1) I'm a DV-2007 winner from Nigeria but my Case hasn't been scheduled. My Case number is 2007AF28XXX. When do you think it'd be scheduled for? It looks like KCC is kinda slow processing cases this year but I think the 50,000 thousand VISAS must be Issued before the end of September 2007 or whatcha think?

2) What kind of medical tests are conducted for DV-winners? Would they be tested for drugs like Nicotine? I was thiiking smoking might reduce one's chances of a VISA issuance. Please what do you think?

3) Ok..What about this? For how long can you stay in the USA after your VISA has been issued before you'd be allowed to travel out of the States???

Cheers and enjoy the rest of the day while I expect replies from you.
All the best!!!

Q1] High number; most likely September
Q2] They don't check for Nicotine; smoking will not affect your visa chances. But with side effects of smoking like lung cancer, heart disease, and chronic lung disease, the green card might be the least of your worries.
Q3] You can travel out once your green card [plastic] is in your hands. Most people have been getting theirs within 2-3 weeks of arriving in the U.S.
Have you checked the Nigerian thread? It is a magnificent resource.
