Duration of stay in IDNIA while 485 pending

I am currently on I485 adjustment of status.
I485 RD - Nov 19 2001.

I have approved AP.
H4 is valid till may 25 2003.

Planning to leave to India on March 01, 03 and return back on May 18th.

What happens my GC is approved mean time say as early as on march 03.

Is there any restriction on number of days stay out of US during adjustment of status or after GC approved.

Is there any problem in returning back to US after GC is approved.
Can I return back on H4 even it is only 6 days valid.

Really appraciate yor advise.

30 days to stamp PP

You have 30 days after AD to get your PP stamped. After that it may be treated as a case of abandonment of GC.

Mr. Dusranazar please please verify facts before giving such authoritative replies. Your answer is very probably incorrect ( I give you the benefit of doubt as my info is about 2/3 months old).

I was out of the country when my GC was approved I had no problem getting it stamped even after 30 days of AD. I infact enquired with my lawyer before I left what I was to do if the case was approved while I was out of the country. He said that there was going to be ample time for me to get back and get the pp stamped he even mentioned that there was no real time limit for me to get the pp stamped, however given that there are these IBIS/FBI/whatever checks these days, delaying your pp stamp beyond a month might force a new IBIS/FBI/whatever check which might delay your card but not deny your card.

Having said all this I urge you to check with your lawyer before you do anything atleast you have a chance to sue your lawyer if he/she gives you wrong advice ).
