duplicate RFE notice received

Hi,
I received the exact same RFE notice that I received and responded earlier a couple of months ago. My attorney thinks it's a mistake and going to follow-up on that. Has anyone ever received duplicate RFE notices? I'm assuming if there is something missing in my previous response, I'd get a new RFE - not the exact same notice. Any input/comments appreciated.

My case details:
EB3 - PD Sep 1998 - VSC
ND - Oct 2003.
FP rejected twice by FBI due to skin condition
RFE received to send police clearances for the past 5 years in July 2005, responded in Aug 2005. Received the exact same RFE again today (24th Oct).

Sometimes they may ask you to submit the same thing... better to see the date on RFE.... even though it is same, better to attach police clearance (to old evidence) from July 2005 to todate and send them....

attorney might not think as like you... some times they will take very easy.... don't take any risk...
 
Thanks clear485 for your inputs. I understand your point. My attorney is planning to do a AILA inquiry and also respond to the RFE - but not sure if she plans to send the same police clearances that we sent a couple of months ago (also we just have copies since we sent the originals in the previous response) or enclose a letter mentioning that we did send all the clearances - local as well as state.

I'm planning to follow-up closely with her and make sure we sort this out with USCIS as early as possible. But just wondering - could this be a mistake of USCIS???

i recd duplicated NOID

I got NOID twice with same freakin info only change is the DATE.

first one April 05 and second one in Aug 05.

Attorney told me that this is not uncommon..so we had to reply for second NOID with all set of new documents (pay stubs, New EVL..etc...) ....no other go!!!

that is VSC :)
