Duplicate Finger Printing.

My wife got her finger printing done on May-22 and BCIS received the report from FBI on May-27. The online status says the processing has begun in her case. Now we received a new finger printing notice asking her to appear on July-15.
Have some one experienced a similar situation before. My lawyer has asked us to go to the service center on July-15 and let the officer make the decison to be in the safer side.
Any suggestions / comments are appreciated.

No consensus

This situtation has been occurring a lot in the last month, and has been noted on these boards many times.

Although it seems to be a system error, there has, as far as I know, been no press release from the VSC to that effect.

A number of people have contacted their paraplegals and lawyers, who tend to take a cautious approach and have them go back to the BCIS.

However, the trend seems to be that when people either go to the BCIS, or call them, they are told that it was a system error, and the duplicate notice is torn up.

Take your pick. Personally, I'm sufficiently convinced that it is an error, and so I will not be going to the second appointment. After all, the case status report DOES say that the FPs have been received and that processing has been resumed. If there is a genuine problem with teh FPs, this is refelcted in the case status report.

Hope that helps.
