My Lawyer has applied for our EAD Renewal by mail just when 90 days are left. It will take a few days for the TSC to receive the mail and issue a receipt on that application. The good news is that TSC is approving the EADs in two months.
I am little worrried as if I don't get my EAD within the expiry of the existing one I wont be able to work. To be on the safe side, since today is the 90 th day, to get a receipt number should I file a duplicate EAD online application and do the whole process or should I just wait? Is that okay with INS? I am not worried about the fees.
My lawyer told me since you were on H1 before you can still work even though your EAD has expired for 240 days. I had reentered the US as adjustment pending on travel document.
