The article doesn\'t say how its gonna work. Any thoughts.
Can you keep your Indian passport as well as passport of a foreign country and can you vote in indian elections?
I have my green card and now want to get married. Since it will take almost 5 years for my spouse to get a green card I am thinking of this possibility:
Surrender my green card and go to India for a year to get married. Then after 1 year reapply for a green card as a returning resident (which has no quota limits) along with my wife. Has anybody done this or knows anything about this process? How long does returning resident take to get green card and is his dependent allowed to apply with him. Any gotchas? Your help will be higlhy appreciated. Thanks.
I found the article in Times of India and thought of posting it here and found that there is a thread on it already! This is good news. Especially for those of us who are reluctant to part with Indian nationality. I assume that it should work on the same lines of European and Asian countries that have dual nationality. This means that there will be no travel restrictions back to the home country etc if we were to opt for american citizenship. Please share your thoughts on this.
