if India allows dual citizenship, then will a US citizen be able to live in India permanently without having to come to US? GC holders can't be out of US for more than 1 yr , but does this apply to US citizens. pls let me know your views

US citizens can live wherever they want for however long they want. Whether or not a US citizen can live permanently in India is up to that country.

As a US Citizen you can leave the country indefenitely. You can live and work in India without coming to the US for a long time
