Dual Citizenship: CDN to marry USC

I am a cdn who is getting ready to wed a usc in a few weeks. I will apply for gc in usa, as this is where we are both working. However, what happens if we want to move back to canada? Can he apply for cdn citizenship through his marraige to me? Is it automatic? Utimatley, can we both end up with 'dual' citizenship?
 
Both of you can apply for GC or PR for each other country's and then when you are eligible for citizenship as per requirements , you can file . There is no "Direct filing" for citizenship ..
